We aim to be a positive support for individuals and local communities, to inspire creativity, and to promote health and sustainability on a personal and collective level.
It is our intention to create a supportive community where people can connect, express their creativity and thrive. All Wellness exists to promote positivity, and to celebrate the good that is happening all around, by showcasing independent businesses, charities, creatives, collectives and CICs so they can easily connect with each other and the audience that is right for them.
All Wellness holds a vision to continuously work towards a world which supports us as unique individuals, encouraging our individual creativity and expression, whilst also functioning collectively and sustainably for the good of our environment and the communities that we are all part of.
We hold a vision of a wide and comprehensive picture of health and vitality. Wherein positive living is encouraged, and holistic wellness is not just an abstract construct but a lived reality.
As a business, we envision All Wellness to continue to develop to better meet the needs of people who are investing in their wellness and to grow as the largest online wellness collective in support of the thriving wellness community.
If you resonate with our vision, & want to help us achieve it, then we have a donation page here We would be so grateful of any support, thank you.
All Wellness was born of a need to act in the world. It is my creative expression. My response to a world in need of healing, and my hope for the future.
After decades working in the field of mental healthcare within psychiatric hospitals, outpatient departments, residential and school settings, including a PhD in applied psychology and training and working as a trainee Clinical Psychologist within the NHS, I decided to finally jump ship and focus my efforts on the collective level that I had come to believe was the missing link of our mental stability.
Countless hours studying what the clinical model had provided me with (and also what it had omitted) had passionately motivated my belief that our health as individuals is intimately connected to the symbiotic relationships we have with each other and the landscape we inhabit, as well as being a product of how we personally interpret and interact with the world we, to a degree, co-create.
I found myself yearning for a holistic model. Something which could look to the wisdom of the past as it also looks to the future and acknowledges the gifts of the present. A holistic model that sees us as the unique, multifaceted interconnected beings that we are. Only through this lens can we truly see how our health, the wellbeing of our communities and the overall health of our planet are really but parts of one whole.
I answered this ache in my heart for a holistic, collective effort towards wellbeing by setting up the All Wellness Merseyside Instagram page in April of 2022, making it my mission to find and promote as many local wellness business, organisations and creatives as possible that represented the values of community, creativity, wellbeing & sustainability; values I had come to realise were central to living well.
I was blown away by how much was going on.
Within a couple of years, All Wellness Merseyside had promoted over four hundred Merseyside businesses and organisations, and over a thousand of their events. And what’s more, I was aware that was just the tip of the iceberg. It felt obvious that such a huge community of people would benefit from a dedicated platform, and maybe this was how, in my small way, I could contribute to the bigger picture of wellbeing that I still believed necessary.
Plus, after qualifying as a yoga teacher myself, I experienced firsthand how energy and time consuming it is to advertise and ‘stay relevant’ in fast-paced social media spaces. So, for all these reasons and more, I decided I wanted to build something which would help people easily connect with the people they were wanting to connect with, leaving them more time to focus on what they actually wanted to offer. I also realised the focus had to expand, Merseyside was the starting point, but the picture was much larger.
It took another couple of years to finally build the website that was able to launch on the Autumn Equinox of 2025. Financial constraints, homelife & other employment allowed for time for the project to mature and develop. Furthermore, I wish to gratefully acknowledge that All Wellness would likely not have come into being without the help of so many different people along the way. Whether it be help with website development, decision making, financial support, general encouragement or a whole host of other ways in which people have been there at times of need to keep the wheels of All Wellness turning, it has truly been a collective effort from the start.
Now it is here, I hope that this All Wellness values-based Community Directory is of value to you. This is now the new start to the next part of the story.
Thank you for being here,
